Insights
FDM climate chambers for battery testing are designed to ensure maximum safety and reliability during thermal tests on lithium-ion cells, modules, and battery packs. Built to meet the requirements of the most demanding laboratories, these chambers support extreme environmental conditions and comply with EUCAR risk levels up to level 6, thanks to modular and configurable safety packages.
Climatic control is highly precise:
-
Operating range for battery testing: from –40°C to +100°C
-
Total chamber range: from –52°C to +180°C
-
Controllable relative humidity: from 10% to 90% RH
The internal structure is reinforced and equipped with both active and passive safety systems such as gas detectors, overpressure valves, filters, and inspection windows, and, in advanced levels, automatic fire suppression systems. The chambers can be fitted with sliding or hinged doors, customized cable ports, and digital interfaces for continuous monitoring and test data recording.
With a range of available volumes and a modular design, these chambers perfectly adapt to testing requirements in the automotive, electronics, energy, and aerospace sectors, offering a controlled and safe environment for battery testing in compliance with international standards.
